Nullagine Large Shelter

Weathersafe completed a large outdoor shelter over the new Rage Cage play equipment at the Ýirrunkadji Sports Courts in Nullagine, Western Australia.

This custom-designed 30m x 22m curved roof structure, standing 7m tall, features heavy-duty galvanised components, including web truss support beams, circular hollow section posts, and durable Spandek roofing. Engineered to perfection, the shelter was built to meet the demanding conditions of the Pilbara region while offering ample shade and protection for community sports and activities.

The Ýirrunkadji Sports Courts project, celebrated at its official opening on 5th December 2024, is a cornerstone of the Shire of East Pilbara’s Strategic Recreation Master Plan. Funded by a combination of state grants and local contributions, this facility aims to unite the community, promote physical health, and inspire youth development.

Weathersafe is delighted to have played a pivotal role in constructing this space, ensuring it serves as a hub for recreation, connection, and well-being for years to come.
